What do I wire my remote lead to?
I am installing an amp. In the wiring kit I purchased the remote lead does not have a male end on it. On the back of my sony xplod head unit I have a remote in 3.5mm jack. Problem is, the wiring kit didn't include the male end of the remote wire. So, I am wondering if I can tap it into the remote wire thats on my wiring harness and it will still turn on when I turn on my head unit as you would expect it to? I would just attach a 3.5mm male end onto the end of the remote wire but can't find one in NZ. Repco don't got em don't know where else to look.
I think the 3.5 mm jack is for a remote control, not the blue remote power wire for an amp...
